What the Girls have been doing...

Have we completely neglected our children for the sake of a clean house? I'd like to think not. We've probably been overcompensating as a matter of fact. It seems every evening that we have to make yet another trip to a hardware store, we have to stop for ice cream - especially if it is after 8 (99 cent Sundaes at Sonic!).
The girls have been getting along pretty well lately. It seems that they know when they need to busy themselves and end up peacefully playing together for a change. It has been wonderful. It is such a joy to see them play together using their imaginations and not fighting.

The girls having some sisterly bonding time on Bernadette's bed...after bedtime...sometimes it is just too cute to make them stop.

Last Saturday morning, we took a break to see Super Why at the Zoo. The girls had a great time.

And when we got home, they were ready for some alone time. Bernadette helped Grandpa Joe seal the deck (they ran out of seal with like 2 feet of 3 boards left) and Clare played with the stickers she got from the zoo.

Can you believe Jeremy made me carry the baby around the whole time? He didn't once offer!
4th of July was uneventful. We worked on the house all day and then in the evening, sat in our lawn chairs in our own yard and watched the neighbor's big fireworks show. Bernadette loved it - Clare slept through it. Poor girl, she talked about it all weekend, maybe saw 3 before conking out in my arms.

We went to a wedding reception a few weekends ago. It was nice to have some quality time with Jeremy's parents. The girls had a great time even though they didn't know anyone.

It was at the Holiday Inn downtown...where our reception was. :)
Clare with Grandpa Joe.

This post is terribly out of order and scatterbrained. It started nicely this morning, but as it has taken me all day to finish it doesn't flow so nice anymore...Oh well, at least there are some cutie girl pics!

  2. Love the beautiful tummy! Your remark about carrying the baby made me laugh. We used to joke about that too. :)
