No, this isn’t a homeschooling post.
Felicity had her 4 month check-up today. Our chubby bunny got a 100% – for height! She measured 27 inches! She weighed in at 15 lb 5 oz which put her in the 85th percentile.
So, if she was in the 100th percentile, does that mean she’s taller than 100% of 4 month olds? So, she’s like the tallest baby ever, right? I know that isn’t exactly true, but has anyone else’s children gotten a 100% before?
4 month old Felicity doesn’t roll over yet, but she is very close. When she is on her back she’ll roll up to her side and try and try to make it, but so far has only flopped back (or “helped” over by one of her doting big sisters). Her favorite toy is our glow worm. She likes to give it hugs and kisses. She is a drooling machine. She is also our first thumb sucker.
She sleeps like a champ. All night, which usually means from 8pm until 7 am. She usually takes two 1.5 hour naps – one in the morning, one in the afternoon - and an extra hour nap in the evening. She is very happy and smiley at pretty much anyone.
She is going through a Papa phase – LOVES him – much earlier than the other girls did. She makes funny attempts to reach her arms out to him (with fists clenched shut) when he comes home from work every day. She loves to play in her exersaucer and sit in her high chair.
She has such admiration for her sisters it amazes me. You can literally see the “I love you so much I would leap mountains to get your hugs and kisses” look in her eyes when they are talking or playing with her. Bernadette loves to say “Goo Goo Gaa! Cha Cha Cha!” to her. It makes her laugh so much!
She has a few nicknames around here. Mostly Lissie. Sometimes Lissity. Clare will go in bursts of calling her only Felicity Rose. She’s big into middle names. She has a special song that calms her down when she is crying.
Oh Felicity, I love you! Oh Felicity, yes I do! Oh Felicity, don’t be blue! Oh Felicity, doo be doo!
oh how I'd love to be a fly on the wall at your place!! Felicity is one lucky babe!
ReplyDeletemy kids were all very tall and I had 2 that were either 100% or off the charts as they called it in height. So what it means is that by the time they are K they are looming over the other kids and are wearing size 8-10 when all the all other kids are wearing 4-5...lol.
ReplyDeleteShe is a DOLL!
Your girls are SO cute! I love reading your blog, Kati! I can hear your voice as I'm reading it. 100th percentile. Love it! Peter's head has always been in the 99th percentile. = )
