Tooting my own horn…

Have I mentioned that I’ve lost 30 pounds since the start of Advent?

See the fatty  post-partum me eating (of course)?  Yuck.

I was 4 months post-partum in that picture and the weight wasn’t magically disappearing.  So, for Advent, I started exercising 4-5 times a week with a DVD.  That went pretty well for awhile.  We got sick and I got un-motivated around the end of January.  Then, during February, I used Sparkpeople to keep track of my food intake.  That went really well until Lent started and I began to limit my computer time.  During Lent, I didn’t really do anything special.  Now, I haven’t weighed this much since I was pregnant with Bernadette…yep, that’s right, since I was pregnant with Bernadette…I haven’t been very motivated to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight before now.

Here’s me last week.  Photo courtesy of my 4 1/2 year old.  Complete with Clare being silly, as usual, and the apartment in complete disarray.  (to find out why, go to www.katiandjeremyshouse.blogspot.com to see what we’ve been up to).

Yes, I am proud of my weight loss, but I wanted to document it for my own sake so after the next baby girl (God-willing, of course, I am not pregnant right now) I have visual proof that I can do it!

  2. WOW! you look amazing! it's taken me 2 years, but I'm finally back to my pre-pregnancy SHAPE (totally different than weight, I have learned). Really, waitressing is the only thing that ever helped me to loose anything. It helped me to loose my freshman 30 too!

    Keep it up girl!
