We’re Moving!

It’s official!  As of today, our house is on the market.

June 060

Unexpected, I know.  Our move may seem spontaneous, but really, Jeremy has never stopped looking at the Real Estate listings.  And we’ve secretly been spending one Sunday every couple of months going to open houses.  Don’t get me wrong, we love our house and love our parish, but we both just felt it was time for a change.

The way we decided on the house reminds me of the way we decided on Bernadette’s name.  We had a different name picked out when we went to the ultra sound, but when we left, we both knew she was Bernadette.

Our offer has been accepted at our new house contingent on the sale of our current house.  We’ve been packing and cleaning and packing and cleaning and packing and cleaning for the past two weeks getting it ready.  Our agent came to our house with the paper work and was thoroughly impressed with how beautifully clean and neat the whole house looks.  We signed the papers, he took some pictures, put a lock box on our door and a sign in our yard.  Our first open house is this Sunday already and we can hardly believe it.  We are praying for a quick sell!

Bernadette has been so excited about our new house all along.  As soon as we saw it the first time, she kept talking about how much she liked Bev’s new house (Bev was the agent at the open house).  She has been telling everyone she meets that we are moving and she has even packed up all her toys already.  She prays everyday that God will help Roger (our agent) sell our house.

So, our new house is about 10 minutes south of Lincoln.  It isn’t an acreage like our dream house will be someday, but it is a BRAND NEW HOUSE.  It has never been lived in!  It is in a newly developed neighborhood full of young families.  It is a multi-level house with three bedrooms and an unfinished basement which could someday be two more bedrooms.  The kitchen is awesome.  My favorite part about the new house is that it has an extra living room which we are going to use for an office/school room/toy room.

Here’s a link to a Picasa web album of pics of the new house: http://picasaweb.google.com/jskrdla/NewHouse?authkey=Gv1sRgCIG-rNbc99Sqdg&feat=email#  Enjoy the sneak peek and feel free to leave comments!
