Oh, Baby!

So, this Saturday I will be 18 weeks pregnant. We have our ultrasound on Monday. We are planning on finding out if it is a boy or a girl. Bernadette is insistant on a boy this time and has given us a few good names along with a couple of funny ones (like Lego Man, Baby Bean and Fire Truck man - so he can grow up to be a fireman :) ). Clare is, of course, still oblivious. Every time we try to tell her that there is a baby in my tummy she thinks we're talking about baby Jesus. :)

This pregnancy so far has been different than the others. During my first trimester, I had morning sickness worse than with either of the girls (or the 16 weeks of Francis). I threw up multiple times a week and sometimes multiple times a day. I couldn't cook anything. I could only eat small portions. I was always exhausted. At about 14 weeks, the sickness subsided. I still have troubles when brushing my teeth. I am still tired, but can resume my daily household duties. I still can't cook chicken, but everything else is okay.

In other news: Bernadette decided to give up sweets (because Jeremy did) and then decided that we would all give up sweets. This is proving to be much more difficult for her than no TV or movies. She tells me at least once a day "Since its almost Easter, I'm going to have just one little sweet." I'm making her stick to it though. We have 25 of 40 bags filled - mostly for donations. We've only gotten 2 rooms organized so far. I don't know if we'll get it all done before Easter!

We purchased a new dishwasher today during my husband's lunch hour. Ours has slowly stopped disolving the soap. We've almost lost it 2 times before, so we decided it was time. I'm excited about it. Anything to help us not hate our house so much is welcomed. Since we've almost moved twice in the last year, it is harder to be content with what we have. We've been making small improvements here and there which is helping. We were hoping to remodel our bathroom with our tax return money, but so far we haven't decided to do it for sure. By the time we do decide, we will probably have spent our tax return on other things - like kitchen appliances. :)
