Wedding Tidbits

We had an amazing weekend celebrating Andrea (my sister-in-law) and Brendan's wedding. Here's some tidbits:

*Bernadette made a new friend, Jett. He is 4 years old and a cousin of the groom. Bernadette and Jett were together for most of the reception. At one point, he gave her one of the clear decorative rocks from the tables. She treasures it. They danced, they played, they chased each other around. Even though Bernadette keeps thinking his name is Jake, I'm pretty sure they'd be best friends forever if it wasn't for the fact that they will probably never see each other again. :)

*We pretty much let the girls run around and enjoy themselves. We checked up on where they were and if they had to potty from time to time. Turns out Clare was a social butterfly. More than a few people told me they had danced with her. At one point, she had a quarter in her hand. We asked her where she got it and she said someone gave it to her. :)

*When we got home last night, Clare was very cranky. Bernadette told her, "Your attitude is very stinkerish!"

*This morning the girls are playing wedding with their paper dolls.

*After being held all weekend, Felicity now not only rolls all over the place, but also scoots backwards! She's going to be stealing her sisters' toys in no time!

*Hail Mary, Gentle Woman was the meditation hymn at the wedding Mass. Bernadette sang along. :)

*Our girls were two of the three flower girls. The third, Ellie, was adorable. They were instant friends and would have all played together all night if Jett hadn't stolen Bernadette away. Oh well, Ellie was just right for Clare.

*The girls were total princesses. I'll share pics once I get them uploaded. They got their hair done, too. At the end of the night, between the two of them, they had more than 50 bobby pins in their hair!

I'm sure there is much more fun to be shared, but I've got laundry and children that need attention. Stay tuned!

  1. The girls were truly the most beautiful little princesses I have ever seen. Even if I am the grandma. They did such a great job! I can't believe Felicity is scooting around. Guess we should have put her down:) We are so glad everyone had such a great time!
