Success 1: I finally finished reading Les Miserables at the end of last week! I started reading A Mother's Rule of Life by Holly Pierlot. It is a really good book and has me thinking about a lot of things. Two of which I will expound on in my other successes.
Success 2: I also finally set up a prayer corner in our room and the girls' room. This is something we've talked about doing awhile ago, but I finally just did it. I realized that I need a specific place to pray and specific times to pray throughout my day in order to keep God in the center of everything we do here. Bernadette was having a particularly rough and whiny morning yesterday, so I sent her to her prayer corner to talk to Jesus for a little bit. She wasn't in trouble, just needed a few minutes to herself. When she came back, she was much more composed. I had a particularly rough day as well. When I needed time in my prayer corner, I told Bernadette that I needed to go talk to Jesus for a little bit and asked if she would please watch her sister and not fight. I don't know how long I was in my prayer corner, but I didn't hear either girl cry/fuss/whine once. It was beautiful. I love my children.
Success 3: I am in the process of setting up an appointment with a priest for spiritual direction...finally. This is also something that has been in the back of my mind for quite some time. I had a few personal revelations yesterday. Now that these things have come to light in my mind, I don't know how to deal with them. I am hoping that the Holy Spirit will inspire some helpful thoughts in my spiritual director.

It is amazing you mentioned a prayer corner. I don't have room to spare a prayer closet, but I have been really thinking lately on a prayer corner. Seeing this felt like a sign!
